The AALA and GLSA are proud to announce the first annual AALA-GLSA International Students Mooting Competition! This competition was introduced for International Students to gain mooting experience and have a chance to polish their advocacy skills. As such, at least one team member must be an International Student in order to register.

The inaugural 2020 competition will feature three preliminary rounds from which the top eight teams will advance to the knockout stages and have the opportunity to receive feedback from barrister judges. There will be a total of two knockout stages after which the remaining teams will advance to the Grand Final. Each team will participate in a minimum of three moots with the Grand Finalists competing in a total of six throughout the year.

In order to ensure that students from every year level can participate, the case problem in 2020 will be focused on either torts or obligations.
