The GLSA ISL team is proud to announce the commencement of our second annual AALA-GLSA International Students Mooting Competition! If you’re an international student (or a local student with international friends!) and would like a chance to practice your advocacy and public speaking skills, this is a great opportunity to do so! We’ve attached an information video below with more detailed information and a guest presentation from Kelvin Ng, the Victorian President of Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA).

Competition Details

The moot will run on Zoom with a single (first year friendly!) case problem throughout the competition (so you only have to do research once!) and follow a round robin format for the first two rounds during weeks 6 and 8 of Semester One with the top eight teams moving on to Semester Two knock-out rounds hosted by our distinguished guest judges from the AALA.

All team registrations must include at least one international student and individual applications will be subject to our ability to form teams that fit this prerequisite.

Registrations close Monday, March 15 at 5pm.
